BEL Engineering is pleased to share that Paul Robson has been assigned as General Manager.
Paul has worked in leadership roles for over 25 years and has a wealth of experience in the aerospace, oil & gas, motorsport and medical industries.
In his role, Paul is responsible for many departments including; health and safety, human resources, production, engineering, quality, logistics and finance. Paul’s role is to ensure that the business always strives to go above and beyond customer expectations.
Before joining BEL Engineering, Paul worked in various roles in assembly, planning, purchasing and production. More recently, Paul worked his way up from Production Manager to Site Director in a seven year period at a tier one aerospace supplier.
Since joining BEL Engineering, Paul has introduced the safety, quality, cost, delivery and people (SQCDP) method of cell management to reduce the chances of operational problems and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) to ensure the machines maximise their sellable hours.
Paul said: “I want BEL Engineering to be the first business a customer considers when looking to place work externally. The business is growing and improving every day and the continuous investment in the business, compared to what I have witnessed in my career, is second to none.
“BEL Engineering has a very knowledgeable and experienced workforce, but to stay ahead of competition we need to continue to implement training and development of our staff and that is something I am passionate about.”
Outside of work Paul enjoys spending time with family, especially Beau his two year old grandson as well as following Newcastle United, Formula 1, playing golf and attending gigs.
